Getting Started: Requesting or Resetting eClass Courses

Creating Your Course

CTL Technology Services has developed an automated course request service to streamline the course creation process for instructors. You need to create a new eClass course for every semester so that new Beartracks enrollments can get pulled into your course. The system also allows you to control the administrative users (TAs, Designers, and Secondary Instructors) and the access dates for your courses. Click below to use this service.

eClass Course Creation and Section Management

Accessing Your Course

Once your class is created (within 1 business day), when you log in to eClass at https://eclass.srv.ualberta.ca/portal/, your course will be displayed on the main page in your course list.

If you are experiencing any difficulties logging in, consult the Knowledge Base for CCID and password help.

One of your first steps once you have logged in successfully may be to add some visual appeal to your eClass page. CTL Technology Services has prepared a series of banners customized for each department on campus. The banners are high resolution and there are a few different colour schemes to choose from. You can access the banners athe our Custom Banner page.
